Episodes by Gucci Mane

Rap star Gucci Mane has become the latest artist to open up about having struggles with bipolar disorder, as well as schizophrenia. Mane is known as a Grammy-nominated master of street-themed trap music. He’s also an accomplished actor, author, and fashion designer. Born Rodric Dentic Davis, the hip hop star has endured jail stunts, bouts of substance abuse, and highly publicized meltdowns.
Then there’s the rapper feud that resulted in Mane shooting an associate of a prominent rival. Prosecutors dropped the charges of murder, as Mane claimed self defense. Mane worked with the likes of Drake, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, Usher, and Bruno Mars. Most recently, Mane has dropped his new memoir Episodes: The Diary of a Recovering Mad Man. This is his third book.
Mane credits his wife, Keshia Ka’oir, for being key to managing his condition. When she sees triggers happening, she deletes the apps from his phone and shuts off social media. And she keeps him medication compliant.
I wish someone had done that for me when I had my major manic episode that nearly cost me everything.
